Do NOT give up hope...
by: Wm. Andrew Turman

I was able to complete a Master's degree in Special Education, specializing in teaching students with behavioral and emotional problems, despite my illness. Perhaps because of my bipolar disorder, I was very good at it. Because I am Bipolar, I can relate to my students better. They know I am not full of it, that one can be successful despite the mental health issues, if one is willing to put in the time and effort it takes. Don't ever give up, for as the saying goes, "Dum spero speri" (Where there's breath, there's Hope). Everything is going to be alright, if you let it. Honest Regards, WmAT

Very Timely :)
by: Sarah from Bipolar Lives.com

Talk about good timing! This came in the same afternoon as an email from a reader who had to quit high school at 15 and was concerned about returning to the classroom. People with bipolar disorder can succeed at higher education and I will be publishing these tips in the next Bipolar Lives Monthly newletter.
