Not always happy
by: Anonymous

I think this article is right on target in that irritability is a more common symptom of mania. Before I was educated on the subject, I thought people in a manic episode were always happy. Not true. Thanks for writing this article.

Worth reading!
by: Sarah from Bipolar-Lives

This latest scholarhip entry is well worth careful reading and makes a couple of excellent points. I like the way it is noted that irritability can occur during both mania and depression - it is such a common symptom but often not given enough weight during diagnosis. Especially liked the point about the interplay between codependency, over-sensitivity and relationship problems.
